Eat eggs at breakfast to lose weight

Wish to shed the flab fast? Trust an egg to do that for you. Surprised? Well, researches and studies have concluded that having an egg in breakfast is the best way to start the day. For many decades, eggs were seen as dreadful food items as they caused high blood pressure and even raised cholesterol. According to a recent research by researchers at Surrey University, it has been proved that eating eggs for breakfast can reduce the calories eaten at lunch and dinner! How cool is that?

This recent study provides more serious evidence that eating eggs at breakfast can help keep us feeling fuller for longer. It may even help individuals eat less at subsequent meals. This in turn, helps you with weight loss. This study tested about 3 typical breakfasts with the same level of calories:

• Eggs on toast

• Cornflakes with milk and toast

• Croissant and orange juice

Adding weight to the evidence to support eggs as a key ingredient of weight-loss diets, many researchers found volunteers felt fuller for longer. In fact, they had a lower desire to eat after the egg breakfast as compared with the other ones.

Having eggs in breakfast also leads to a drastic decrease in the intake of energy at lunch and evening meals as compared to the other common breakfasts. This was reported in media, in support for the research and study on benefits of eggs.

According to an earlier US research, it was found that when women were given either an egg or bagel-based breakfast of equal calories, the egg-eating volunteers felt fuller. They even had less desire to eat other foods for the next 24 hours. In another study published in the past, it has been proved that a three-egg breakfast when compare to a low-fat bagel in a group of men, the response to ghrelin, the only hormone known to stimulate hunger, was suppressed. This was surprising but true!

      • eating eggs do really helps us lose weight.. but you will also lessen your cholesterol level if you eat your eggs and disregarding the yolk.. the yolk of an egg is known to pack a high cholesterol content. so if you are on a diet and eating eggs.. stay away from the yolk
