Wish to shed the flab fast? Trust an egg to do that for you. Surprised? Well, researches and studies have concluded that having an egg in breakfast is the best way to start the day. For many decades, eggs were seen as dreadful food items as they caused high blood pressure and even raised cholesterol. According to a recent research by researchers at Surrey University, it has been proved that eating eggs for breakfast can reduce the calories eaten at lunch and dinner! How cool is that?

Eggs are the best options to keep you fuller for longer as compared with other common breakfast foods. Eggs are also known to be better for those who want to resist afternoon snacks on biscuits, cake, or chocolate.

This recent study provides more serious evidence that eating eggs at breakfast can help keep us feeling fuller for longer. It may even help individuals eat less at subsequent meals. This in turn, helps you with weight loss. This study tested about 3 typical breakfasts with the same level of calories:

• Eggs on toast

• Cornflakes with milk and toast

• Croissant and orange juice

Adding weight to the evidence to support eggs as a key ingredient of weight-loss diets, many researchers found volunteers felt fuller for longer. In fact, they had a lower desire to eat after the egg breakfast as compared with the other ones.

Having eggs in breakfast also leads to a drastic decrease in the intake of energy at lunch and evening meals as compared to the other common breakfasts. This was reported in media, in support for the research and study on benefits of eggs.

According to an earlier US research, it was found that when women were given either an egg or bagel-based breakfast of equal calories, the egg-eating volunteers felt fuller. They even had less desire to eat other foods for the next 24 hours. In another study published in the past, it has been proved that a three-egg breakfast when compare to a low-fat bagel in a group of men, the response to ghrelin, the only hormone known to stimulate hunger, was suppressed. This was surprising but true!

    Really, Eggs are the great way to weight lose. Last two months i also eaten three Eggs daily and its hold me richer for long time as compared with other prevalent breakfast Comestibles.

      eating eggs do really helps us lose weight.. but you will also lessen your cholesterol level if you eat your eggs and disregarding the yolk.. the yolk of an egg is known to pack a high cholesterol content. so if you are on a diet and eating eggs.. stay away from the yolk

    Very surprising article. I thought eggs causes more fat then most of the other foods. Egg contain lots of vitamins and minerals. I will start eating egg in my breakfast right away. If it helps in reducing my weight without exercise, i will be very happy.

    I have a problem boiling eggs. Why is most of the egg coming off with the shell?

      When you boil the eggs, make sure you start off with cold water. Now add eggs, bring water to a boil. Once the water boils, turn eggs on low for about 20 minutes to 1/2 hour. Thereafter, you must put eggs in ice water and keep them cold. Add more ice for about 1/2 hour. The eggs will peel nicely!

      This is a common problem faced by most people. Fresh eggs will stick more than slightly older eggs. The trick is to try rolling the egg on the counter so as to crack the eggshell into smaller bits. This will make it easier for you to peel.

      In case, you leave the egg in the water after boiling it for too long, the white will stick to the shell. This has happened to me. Hence, I have started to eat my egg right after it had been boiled. It was perfectly fine.

      Strictly avoid boiling eggs! Cover the eggs with cold water and bring to a boil. Cover with a lid. Now turn off heat and wait for about 20 min. Now drain water, run cold water on them. This will make it easier to handle. The egg will come out super perfect every time!

      If the first one sticks just chill them some more. The quality of eggs also makes a huge difference.

      Pierce the larger end of the egg using a needle. You should also salt the water. Your eggs won’t crack while boiling. The shell will come off very easy.

      The egg white comes out because when you boiled it, it expanded and touched the egg shell. On cooling, the eggs cooled along with the shell.

      I am not aware of why that happens sometimes. However, I am sure that if you allow eggs to sit in the water for a while and peel it while it is still wet, it will peel better. You may even try soaking eggs in cold water. I have another trick that works for me. You need to pour vinegar in the water and allow it to boil as usual. It will peel much better. White vinegar is a better option as because cider vinegar stains the egg.

      Try putting ice on eggs soon after you cook them. This will make it easier for the shell to come off.
