Struggling with excess body weight? This can be really frustrating. Obesity can trigger many diseases and illnesses. If you haven’t tried yoga, then it’s time you give this incredible ancient art, a try. Yoga will definitely help you kick off excess weight.

Yoga rejuvenates the system and introduces sense into you that you will keep from overeating. This awareness in your body will make you eat only what is needed for it. Eating anything more will make it feel bad. This is not because you are controlling or regulating your life in any way or because a professional is guiding you through a diet chart. With yogic practices, there is no need to control yourself. All you require doing is practices. This takes good care of the system and keeps you from eating more than needed. If you indulge in some other exercises or dieting processes, you are actually trying to control yourself. This is what makes Yoga different from other forms of weight loss techniques.

Many individuals have experienced weight loss with kriyas. For those with weak digestion and retarded ability to convert the food into flesh, practicing kriyas, can kick start the digestive process and a conversion of food to flesh will be more efficient and results in weight gain. On the other hand, if your digestive fires were good, you begin with kriyas, you’ll lose weight and the conversion rate will improve. However, instead of turning the food into flesh, it will turn food into a subtler dimension of energy. Now, however much you eat, you will find you are losing weight.

Practicing kriyas will keep you from gaining weight even if you eat larger amounts of food. This is because the body experiences alteration in conversion ratio.

Yoga is very effective in reducing body weight. It also helps you lead a happy, peaceful and healthy life. It creates peace within you and keeps you from bad effects of ageing. You will experience peace and calmness within.

There are no side effects of yoga. It helps you lead a happy and healthy life. To start off with yoga for weight loss, you must seek professional help. This will acquaint you with the right way to practise kriyas. Practicing Yoga brings in benefits only if you focus on consistency. Regular practise is the key to benefit from various kiryas and postures of yoga.

Is yoga beneficial in pregnancy? Can I perform these kriyas while ensuring safety? I’ve also heard that one should maintain a gap of half an hour for meals before and after practising yoga. How true is this statement?

I have lost more than 50 pounds in 5 months.. I did lots of physical activities mostly running, aerobics and basic weight training.

Can you please tell me which is better for converting fat into muscles ?

Light weight training with more repetitions or heavy weight training with less repetitions ?

This would be surely great if you tell me about this :)

Thanks Dhruv, for commenting, you need to concentrate on Calories intake. Calculate the number of calories you need to eat each day. Calories are key in any diet plan because you need to consume fewer calories than you burn if you want to lose fat. Perform a resistance-training workout three times per week. Add cardiovascular training three or more times per week.

“Yoga is helpful in losing weight if practised consistently. But I’ll definitely recommend practicing yoga under the guidance of a trained professional. One of my friends attempted to try asanas by watching videos online. She ended up suffering from spine injury. It was painful and the recovery took many months.”

Indulge in exercises whenever you can: Utilize the stairs, follow rope jumping, get off the bus a stop early and walk towards your destination.

Go for window shopping, carryout jumping jacks in your room & feel the difference. Do not skip any chance you get to perform an exercise.

The best thing is to start out walking, and go for a balance diet.

Talking about diet, one must cut down on fat. Calories that your body need to enjoy from fat is around 30%. Include more amount of whole grains, beans, fruits and vegetables. If you have a sweet tooth, then you should quench your daily carvings by having naturally sweet fruits and grains.

One should have total control on calories. Your daily consumption of calories should be round 10 times your weight.
